12 Days of Christmas {Day 3}

You have probably seen this idea floating around, right? Surely you have. If not then you're about to see it. I think this is such a cute and simple idea. Not only is it a great way to get rid of some old t-shirts you have laying around the house, but it's a simple way to create a homemade gift to give this Christmas!

Take any t-shirt you have laying around that you're not using anymore. Make sure you plan on never using it again as a shirt, um...because you won't be able to after this project.

Cut it in half right under the arm pit area. I suppose you could keep the top for a very, very short crop top? I mean, if you're into that sort of thing.

Start cutting the bottom half into strips. I would make them closer to 2 inch strips because if they're too thin they might break (some of mine did which is why I can safely pass this advice along). Don't use the very bottom hem with the rest of the loops, but do save it for later!

Once you've cut the shirt up into strips then loop the ends around your hands and...

streeeeeetch!

Stretch until you're happy with the length of the t-shirt loops.

Take the bottom hem I told you to save earlier and tie it around one end of the loops. This will help to make your scarf easy to separate and use. Then you don't have to untangle it or realign the pieces every time you go to wear it.

It should be plenty long enough that you can loop it twice. You could wear it long if you'd prefer as well. I mean, this is all information that you'll pass along to the gift receiver. How dare you think about keeping this for yourself! Okay, go ahead and make another one to keep. You deserve it.

Until next time.
